Some type of pork fried rice seems to be a food staple in quite a few Asian countries. Being that it is one of my comfort foods at home I decided to order it for lunch at a local cafe. When we we walked in all eyes turned to look at us...clearly we were the only non-Vietnamese in there. No tourists...GREAT...the first sign that the food here would be delicious and CHEAP! and that it was! My dish had purple/magenta colored rice and sweet pork...one word...amazingggg. Yes, I will admit the color worried me at first but one bite into this bowl of loveliness and I've become a fan for life. And the price around $1.50...niceee.
